Exporting files from Nicholson Business Solutions (NBS) for the use of creating Outbound IVR calls is very easy thanks to some custom coding that Andrew put in place for us.
To start, open up NBS > Utility Billing > Setup > Company
Click on Setup Options Tab. At the bottom left is the setting for Outbound Calls - click on Transaction Warehouse
This setting enables reports to be exported into the appropriate format for direct inclusion into the Outbound IVR process.
If you wanted to notify all customers of a boil water alert (as an example), then you can click on the Reports Menu > Account Reports > Account List
Just click on your choices and then choose Phone File as your destination:
Choose the phone numbers you want included. The Outbound IVR process can only accept one phone number per row, so we recommend either Physical Home or Physical Cell. Choose your directory to save the file. The file will automatically save as Phonefile.csv
However, when you find the file, it will actually be saved with the date and time included in the file name:
Once you have saved the file, you can create the Outbound IVR job.
