The "Dollar More Program" is essentially a donation mechanism. Many utilities have a benevolence fund initiative or some other donation program and our upcoming new feature is directly inspired by that. Use of this feature would simply add a donation field to the payment process where customers can enter an amount they would like to contribute to your program. This amount would be added to the transaction but will not be written back to your CIS. We'll provide a report for your reference of all the donations being made so that you can perform any accounting actions on your side to move those donations along their way. This feature will initially appear for logged in, Online Profile-based payments only. Based on how things go we can grow it to appear within the context of Quick Pay and IVR-based payments.
Multi-Account Quick Pay. For a number of years we've heard from several of you that have customers that want to pay on multiple accounts in one payment transaction. Multi-Account Quick Pay will allow for that! We'll eventually grow this feature so that an individual Online Profile can view (and pay on) multiple accounts but we're starting first with Quick Pay. You will have the option to not have Quick Pay at all or have it in it's classic, single account form ... which is how it is today. Once available you will also have a third option for Quick Pay to allow payments on multiple accounts.
We do not have an ETA on either of these new features at this time. We've started building both features but simply need to focus and wrap up other existing efforts. The Dollar More Program will be released first and Multi-Account Quick Pay will follow sometime this summer.
